With the return of The Mandalorian season 2 to Disney+, I felt it was about time to also return to a Star Wars theory. In a previous theory, I talked about how the Jedi could be construed as an 'evil' order. Today, I'm taking that kind of idea and flipping it to talk about the Empire itself! I think The Mandalorian provides us with even more clues that the Empire may not be as wrong in it's philosophy as we thought! How? Why? Well Theorists, make sure you Baby Yoda is somewhere safe because this is about to take a turn to the dark side...

All they've done is put troops *on* Tatooine, and had them oppress the people there Sure, the Republic didn't help them, but they also didn't BURN THEIR FUCKING HOUSES, AUNTS AND UNCLES TO ASH

  • Matpat, have you seen Star Wars Rebels? Have you seen how much destruction the empire had done? Did you forget the slavery of Mandalore and other planets? How about the growing racism against non-human? Also, Vader never really had any loyalty to the empire. He planned to overthrow the emperor and achieve the original intent of the jedi, to bring peace, freedom, justice, and security to the people. Emperor Sidious only wanted power to himself. He did anyting to expand his power.

  • The only problem though is that the lore doesn’t support this idea. Take the CANON book Lost Stars. We see the disparity between Core Worlds and Outer Rim worlds. We see the Empire’s conscription tactics. And we see that they rule primarily through fear and manipulation. The only people that are in the Empire are either too afraid to leave or have been obviously brainwashed. And this book followed two Imperials, one of whom even defected to the Rebels!

  • I mean I personally believe the Empire did WAY better than the Republic. It gave it's military personnel leisure and treated them like actual beings unlike the treatment of clones in the Old Republic. Then the Empire cracked down on smuggling, slavery, and other human trafficking and illegal trade groups. Also most of the galaxy was at peace and doing rather well under the Empire as they grew in power, they gave back to the worlds under the Imperial rule. So all in all the Empire had the right idea, but the canon portrays the Empire as the enemy through bias ways of showing only their evil effects on people. #LONGLIVEREBELLION #LONGLIVEIMPERIALS

  • This video is obvious political commentary, no different from Propaganda. What’s up? Blink twice if you’re ok? I don’t know where you find it ok to take The Clients perspective of the world and use it to shape this so-called theory. Let me begin by saying that maybe The Client was describing “death and chaos” is possibly because he is sowing it. I understand your point that maybe empire was “not all that bad for ordinary citizens” but that logic is blind to the reasons why. Things appeared fine at the price of someone else’s misfortune. The republic aimed for a prosperous galaxy in time and not at the cost of other peoples suffering. This form of diplomacy takes time, where the Empire sought to claim this achievement far too soon. A ruling class built on a very hollow foundation. If you had waited till season 2, after the imperial forces are removed from Nevaro, you will see that it begins to finally flourish. Now that greed and villainy were purged. They are able to build schools, establish a prosperous economy and even put in place a security system that proves to only serve the people. So in the main films you overlook the fact that the only reason the Republic begins to fail is because of corruption from within, namely Palpatine consistently sabotaging progress at every turn. You my friend have devolved into a channel far from logic and are beginning to reveal new perspectives reflecting nothing of your previous content. With obvious allusion to the current political climate, you are insinuating a Republic fails under democratic rule. It fails in every instance because the interests of politicians outweigh the interests of those they serve. Your attempt at excusing the empires planetary genocide with the argument that “Leila is lying” is laughable. Of course she’s lying, Vader is planning to build a weapon of mass destruction and she can stop him. What, if not for complete domination, was that kind of weapon for? You then accused the Jedi of forcibly recruiting their Padawan when no such thing happens in these films. Qui Gon effectively adopts young Anakin in hope to teach this child how to control his powers. The Jedi objected because of Anakins age but by this point of his recruitment in to the order the Dark Side had already clouded the Jedi order. They were not acting of their own volition. They were being manipulated and lead astray from their ability to use the force. Another thing, when they tell Anakin to refrain from these emotional attachments, they are not saying to suppress those feelings. They are making him aware of them, and once you are aware of them you should fine that there is a logical next action you can take to deal with those feelings. Your characterization of this is way off base and only serves your narrative instead of objectively looking at these films for what the true nature of each character represents. This is not the fault of the Jedi, this is what happens when corruption infects democracy and clouds the judgements of the most righteous men. Palpatine forced their hand and drenched the galaxy in war. He seeded doubt in his own republic to topple its foundation and exploited it to rise to power.

  • Ok.. outer rim is not the best argument. Outer rim was largely abandoned by the empire. But that's also like saying that communism is better than capitalism. You truly show your cards and what you believe in. You believe in central control and no freedom. Chinese believe they are well off, but that is a lie. And we know this from the millions murdered by Mao Zedong and Tienmen Square. Stop spreading your lies communist.

  • As far as the data as recruitment tactics go, can we be a little bit more disingenuous. If their policies were so horrible that they caused psychopathic behavior in their members why was Anakin the only one that ever went rogue. I don’t know maybe it’s because the Jedi made an exception in his case. For sensitive children in The Republic where identified at birth. They never knew their parents the attachment that they grew to the Jedi order was that of a parent. And what’s more they didn’t force this on the child’s parents. The parents had a say in whether or not their child would be trained as a Jedi. And the parents knew that this meant that they had to several ties with their child. But I guess personal responsibility and respect for parental authority doesn’t factor. Yeah I’m using Disney sequel doesn’t help your case any. Lol right and say what you want about the Nazis, but they had really good structure of government.

A dictator may be able to whip things into shape because they don’t have to deal with red tape and others voices being heard but it comes at a heavy price. Sure people prospered but if you defied the Empire your whole family could be murdered. I’d rather have corruption and freedom than order and oppressiveness.

What if they introduced the second empire? I give example the second empire is The Accurar Sovereign. An empire formed by a cluster of sun debris and planets around it.The leader of this sovereign is called The Star King, because he uses his army to invade stars and use the star power to capture the planets or claiming territory. but remember, its all just imaginary..,

Then what remained of them in the next trilogy blew up another planet. They're not good guys, not at all. In fact, the only thing keeping them from being worse than the Nazis is the fact they're fictional.
